day 6 in china

day 3 of camp. i have good news to report! we are all getting in the groove of things! yippee! after a VERY arduous first day of camp our team is beginning to gel with our kids and establish relationships with our translators. i am listing their names now so you can speak to our Father about each one specifically.

kristen has boaz and jack. jack is sweet and tidy. they all have the same hair cut and only one outfit. so it is hard to keep track of their names! jack doesn't like shoes or naps. boaz likes the amusement park we went to yesterday. he doesn't like naps either but the girls are learning how to lullaby them to sleep and stroke faces and pat backs. this is the youngest crowd of kids ever. there are 24 and most are under 5. so it has been exhausting but so sweet. after yesterday's learning curve, naptime was extended today! i enjoy praying over their precious sleeping faces. there are 5 little boys in b&k translator's room so it feels like a daycare center.

bethany has bert and ernie. bert has a deep lung infection and was taken to the hospital yesterday.he is now in the room with a staff member for extra tlc. too bad since he was a cuddle bug. ernie is not so much. but today bethany patted him to sleep and it was sweet. i wish you could see these teen girls so tenderly and affectionately caring for these kids. it comes naturally for them to play with them but watching them feed, shower, and toilet duty little boys is really a testimony of selflessness. i am so proud of them,

deborah is the girls translator and she is a gem! i wish we had bought has a spa day and a dinner out! she is amazing. we have all enjoyed serving alongside her. she does not know the father. that is my big request.

kelly has happy and little tree. they are very young. little tree had a "rap" sheet when she arrived and we did not see any evidence until today that she was "naughty". now we know. the baby is too little to do much more than eat and demand everyone else's treats. i could take her home in my suitcase. i posted photos yesterday but they did not go thru. i will keep trying. my translators are echo and emma. they are both staff and have come often to BMH. echo is a sister. emma is not. yet. talk to our dad about that.

bob has the two oldest boys. a orphanage worker's son who is really sweet and fun. his name is joe. sailor is his other boy. bob likes swimming with them both. yo-yo (or something like that) is swim in chinese and it is neat to see all the little faces light us for yo-yo. his translator is michael and his english is not so great but his smile is. we do not know yet if he is a family member.

my mom has mike and mary. two handfuls. she is working hardest i think. her translator is sheri. mike has really connected with aidan and he is a great help to her. mary connected with another translator so she stays close to mom only for yo-yo :)

samuel and peter have no more fevers. all bellies are troubled so we could use more talking about that. mary is well too. but abby has the fever. we are all more rested and acclimating to the humidity. thanks for your help.

i need to save time for the rest of the team to post.
